Partner Hollie McDicken

Hollie McDicken is our newest partner in Barnetts.

Hollie, who went to St Johns Primary and Cumnock Academy, graduated with her LLB from Aberdeen University and did her Diploma at Glasgow University.

She joined the firm in May 2022 following her traineeship with DW Shaw in Mauchline and Cumnock and became a partner on 1 April 2025.

Hollie specialises in Residential Conveyancing and Private Client work.

Solicitor Laura Fulton

Laura joined Barnetts to complete her traineeship in July 2022 after gaining her LLB and Diploma at Glasgow University.

Now fully qualified she specialises in Private Client work including Residential Conveyancing, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Executries.

Lynne is our property manager and deals with our Estate Agency. She can organise all aspects of marketing, buying or renting your property and offers an invaluable personal service to make your transactions as smooth as possible.

Partner Lynn Walker

A graduate of Strathclyde University, Lynn Walker joined Barnetts in 2002, became a partner in 2007 and heads up our Court Department. Over the years she has gained numerous specialist qualifications:

• Professional Guardian for the Office of the Public Guardian in guardianship case
• Professional Qualification in Anti-Money Laundering
• Certified by the Law Society as a specialist in both Family Law and Child law
• Listed on the Scottish Government panel of solicitors to be appointed in reciprocal enforcement of Maintenance cases

She regularly carries out protective and investigative work for Kilmarnock Sheriff Court in cases involving children and vulnerable adults (Child Welfare Reporter, Safeguarder, Curator ad litem).

Lynn is currently training to maintain a place on the Scottish Women’s Rights Centre Signposting Network.

Lynn’s court department deals with:

Assistant Solicitor Lucia Petrescu

A native of Romania, Lucia worked as a teacher, translator/interpreter and project manager in EU funded projects before graduating from Strathclyde University and completing her legal traineeship in Ayr.

She joined Barnetts in September 2020 and works with Lynn Walker covering:

• Children’s Panel hearings
